And turntables are, usually, serviceable in shops. Minidisc devices, not anymore.
So these are old tech, and nearly no one knows how to fix them anymore, selling for way too much.

I used to have the album . I had a great record collection at one stage but when cds came in my record player died and was told at a music shop that you wouldn’t be able to buy turntables anymore so I sold the lot to a second hand shop . Was so annoyed when they started selling them again .
