Total redesign of the GUI for controlling the Advanced Steam Tank Engine in #TrainMisconductor! Gone are the basic sliders, now replaced by a skeuomorphic control stand interface.

We've reached a development milestone in Train Misconductor: version 0.4. It's still unreleased, but we are doing closed playtesting, and we're very proud of our progress. Here's some of the highlights.

the vehicles so far. The big Garratt model is very unfinished and may not ever go in the game anyway, having begun as a standalone model rather than a low poly game asset.

Not sure if this will end up used in-game, but I wanted to see if I could animate a convincing walk cycle with sprites. I think I did alright.

#ArtFight #ArtFight2025 I got attacked by MsAsterisk! She drew the Conductor and Engineer, the (as yet unnamed) characters from #TrainMisconductor / #TrainPuzzle.

MsAsterisk, in addition to doing an incredible job on this art, is also the codeveloper for the game these characters are from. :P

New freight cars for #TrainMisconductor. Steel pipes for the skeleton flat, an empty stakeless flatbed, coils of sheet-metal steel, and steel plates. Also, a stainless steel refrigerated boxcar.

The past few days has been busy for us at Train Project dot exe (title pending) development studio (title pending). We now have a level changing system and I've even learned how to use it to make a few new puzzles.

#IndieDev #GameDev #Trains TrainPuzzle dot exe (title pending) v0.2 has added a lot of new features: 22 more freight cars (including new hoppers and tankers), new icons, sound effects, and a warehouse building on the destination track.

The next major step is additional levels and a proper tutorial!
