Been re-reading the original Resident Evil novelizations by SD Perry, first time in… probably 20 years , and they’re amazing time capsules. Between the constantly retconned lore as each game released and ads for toys/merch in the back, its a version of RE that straight up doesn’t exist anymore.

Here’s Maximum Deadpool doing some Maximizing. I never had the original so finally having Mike Allred’s Slimer is a good time.

The costume being sculpted on a comic character rather than painted on is a nice treat. A treat that you pay for. So not a treat. But it’s nice.

More down below maybe.
Deadpool standing on his articulated toes! He moved pretty well except the ab crunch doesn’t quite click and hold at the extremes. My only issue was the shoulders. I’ll elaborate in another post. Deadpool fires an M60! The accessories are fairly plentiful and good. Perhaps a little bit odd. I don’t know that I have ever associated Deadpool with a M60 or AK-47. That original ToyBiz Legend had a weird stubby AK thing, so maybe that’s what we’re doing here. (I don’t know firearms unless they were used by a G.I.Joe or against a Predator) The guns are very firm, crisp and realistic, especially for Legends! They’d beat Classified weapons if they had the removable magazines and such. Dynamite Ahoy! Deadpool is throwing dynamite. He’s not holding his swords to show off that like other recent Legends, they are pretty short. I think the idea here is the non-removable sheaths on his back are a more pleasant size that reflects how they are often drawn. I think I agree with this. Deadpool’s with the junk on his back falling off or wobbling around have been a plague. Sheaths or scabbards? I’m not looking it up. Deadpool models his thumbs up hand, chimichanga, and alternate mouth exposed head alongside Doop. He’s got a bunch of hands and also a goofy 90s sci-fi rifle with a kickstand that doesn’t move. I’m calling it a kickstand and we’re going to agree that this conversation is over. I touched up one of the eyes on his head with a black Gundam marker. It was sorta overpainted and large. I am done I think.

I keep seeing this guy popping up on eBay. The listings all just say "jointed neon green Iron Man figure". It's obviously ToyBiz but doesn't come up as part of any of the Iron Man waves. I want to see he's supposed to be a Guardsman but I can't find any info on him

The first half of my X-men 97 wave 3 figures arrived today! The Logan is unnecessary but it's a reference to a 90s ToyBiz so sure. The Beto is really good and it's about time we got a proper New Mutants costume figure. The real star is the Emma though. Fantastic update on the old Hellfire one.
