Was battening down the hatches, installation, bedding, fresh water for tomorrow morning since it will get down to the 30s.
Turned on the heater in coop and it sparked and made a flame behind it! Maybe Chewy will replace it? The bunny heater is on.

The foyer connects to the living, TV, and bathroom. Critters like to tap on the glass, peer in, lay eggs and poop in the courtyard. Im glad they feel comfortable enough to wonder about like they own the place, but I need to make some boundaries.

Replaced the skunks for the turkey in the tree.
Put the skunks out back for the babies to look over.
I have to have smart animals, and told them "skunks", because we get them twice a year who nests under the soon to be 140 yr old house. They sèem to like them.

Finally they all get in, content.
The boys were the first to get in,
Masala the last.
All's swell that ends well. 💖🦆

Ducks not happy being locked out of the newly cleaned pond, and the turkeys are in there instead, confusing the quack-ers (the only way AI will let me spell it).
Had to put old hen hay down to dry out the mud around pond before setting them loose in there.

Gash in arm, less bloodletting if I had leaches.
It was a murky muddy mess. The roots from one pot of catfish took over the whole pond. Kept the potted one, tossed the rest that might grow back. Might pot some for Baks pond.

Ducks muddy water 24/7. Bowl not even on dirt, means they have to carry the dirt in their mouths to foul-up the water!
Ya think those toms can fit under the Sphinx? I've seen wildlife and stray cats in there. I really made them for bunnies and guinea pigs.

Put in a post, made a bird feeder with tin roof. Faces SE to get morning sun, much needed for winter. Added two arms holding a flat feeder and a bucket feeder. Also someone gave me a heavy iron triangle bell I attached too. Sparrows love the ever-bearing fig tree.

Wrapped tarp around back porch as a greenhouse, and to keep critters from sleeping there peeping in, and tapping on the door, pooping up the place. Built the roof, poured cement ramp and turned electric from inside to out. Glad the Sphinx feed houses are being utilized.

Funny, Amazon delivered while the turkeys inspected the package. Lol.
This photo was Amazon's proof of delivery.
What a shock when I saw this pic in my email!

Bailey and Barnett snacking under the fan on their balcony.
Wrotten wabbits.

Robin jumped on wall alerted us to the tomatoes. Bat Man loves tomatoes, and counts how many are almost ready to eat. I dare not touch them or he will crow on the hour from midnight to dawn. Ducks saw him sparring with Ayila. Now they leave them alone.

A hen laid an egg on the bridge.
I cut several cat tails on both sides for more elbow room, but a hen got under it and couldn't get out. Put a 2x4 to lift it a bit for now until I have the strength to perfect it to their liking. They love to muddy water!

Had to break down and update the sign.
Added some fruits and vegetables I jigged out of recycled wood a few yrs ago, gave a paint touchup.
Well, that's the best I can do with dyslexia and vertigo.

Oolong and Matcha.
The news said this morning that Matcha is so popular globally, and with a help shortage in Japan, and US tariffs, the price is going up and will be less available.
Chinese Oolong I assume is unchanged.

Earl Grey and Masala.
Kicked everyone out of the front yard and weeded the fence gardens along the highway, planted sunflowers, barley, Mexican sunflowers, two types of lettuce, and carrots. Repotted, replanted citrus plants (from seed), lettuce, kale and collards.

They like to watch the sunset from the balcony, but this Texas sun is brutal. Time to get new shade cloth and clear tarp for the west side. About every other year. Already have on amazon list of must haves. Barnett needs a spa treatment tomorrow.

Ayila, the only turkey hen, hangs on the send floor wrap-around balcony with the bunnies.

Idk what the ducks are rooting around for in the grass filled area. Turkeys mowed it down to nothing. Challenging growing foder for them. They eat the seeds faster than I can throw it out there. Some survive, not much. They eat the everbaring figs, and elderberrys.
