雨の薄暗い野草園で咲いていた茶の木の花です。今まで春に咲くものと思っていましたが、花期は晩秋だそうです。ツバキ科なので少し椿の花に似た感じがします。

I got tea. A teaplant.
(I am 100% not up to the task of keeping this guy alive. I feel sorry for it honestly.)

Camellia sinensis flower.

A great find in my greenhouse.
Lots of flower buds and the plant will be ready to be planted in the ground next spring 🌱☕️

Thanks for the inspiration!

I ordered this weekend some kitchen herbs like lemongrass, a small teaplant and curryleaves. Had already a curryleaves but this one had not such a good winter after removal

Duke of Argyll's Teaplant, Lycium barbarum, at Pagham Harbour. #WildflowerHour. Named for the third Duke of Argyll, Archibald Campbell, who was sent a ‘tea tree’ by someone in China. This turned out not actually to be a tea plant (Camellia sinensis) but was in fact L. barbarum.

Chinese Teaplant (Lycium chinense), not to be confused with the Duke of Argyll's Teaplant. Both known as Goji berries! Leaves widest below half way, dark veins branching on flowers. I did eat the specimen- shouldn't have bothered.
