On Monday, March 3, 2025, Day 1 of the #TPNW3MSP began with the traditional International Youth Orientation. This event featured a youth panel that included @yerdaulet.bsky.social, Co-Founder of the #QNFC, who participated as an ally of the nuclear frontline and affected communities.

Today is International Day for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Awareness - a reminder that we must double down on efforts to create a safer, more peaceful world as we approach the midpoint of #TPNW3MSP.

We need a world free from nuclear weapons.

#TPNW3MSP has made a strong start at the UN in New York - introductory plenary addresses from Amb. Rakhmetullin, Izumi Nakamitsu and Taraem Taukaro from Kiribati highlighted hopes for the future of the TPNW and how "our focus must remain on elimination" of nuclear weapons.

from #Japan, #Korea, #FrenchPolynesia, and other nuclear-affected nations, we're united in our resolve to challenge the dangerous "security paradigm based on nuclear deterrence". At #TPNW3MSP, we will demand progress on Treaty Articles 6 and 7 on victim assistance and environmental remediation.
