What I find strange is how they are getting the logins for the computer systems they're attacking. what credentials are they displaying to convince/force the sysops to let them into the systems? have the executives in charge all already been replaced?

We ran one locally, and when I traveled with the ship, up the Great Lakes, I had a modem attached to my Cellphone in the 90s, and dialed local BBS as we passed them. SYSOPS (System Operators) would invite me over if we docked in their port. Met some interesting friends that way

which part of that your instructions are unclear that you don't understand. I'm not a sysops, you can't expect me to be able to do a sysops work in an instant.

The New Orleans BBS world was different from elsewhere in that it was largely anonymous. aliases were used and sysops didn't require any real info. on the contrary, "exposing" (doxxing, or revealing someone's identity) was the cardinal sin. many users knew each other irl tho

Oh same here he’s just putting someone else in the seat. He said he’d be doing some kind of overseeing of sysops or something so I assume he’s going to go put his hand in more pots and make it more awful while thinking he won’t get heat if he’s not ceo lol
