Week 5 and 6 portraits for
@sylessae.bsky.social's bootcamp. This time it's Liam O'Brien and Laura Bailey. I did switch PC halfway through the Laura one, so my brush work is a bit off, still happy with it though.

Week 8 was hair week, and while I like how it came out in this one I definitely need to find a faster process for it 😂😭

Been using @sylessae.bsky.social 's #SylBootcamp curriculum to improve my foundational art skills (which are previously pretty bad lol). Just the improvement I had on this study over the first week kind of blows my mind. I'm excited about art again!

Emmrich's wide smile was quite a challenge. Teeth can look scary real quick and the face moves a lot when smiling.
Lucanis's beard drove me nuts. 🙈
Rook was the one I finished today, here I used a lineless approach and stylised her scars.

What studying art looks like. 😅
This took me a bit more than an hour (plus adjusting it afterwards to see how far off I was).
It turned out quite expressive and the nose is decent for day 2 of them as well. 😄

i'm trying very hard to stay consistent with the #sylbootcamp but MAN it's tough! last week was a wash and i'm amazed i got my portrait done at all. this week feels the same except i don't even have a portrait done! but one thing that's different from usual is that i don't feel like a failure for it
