She had walked through the visitor areas of the station, sipped on designer drinks at the many bars that littered the arm. She had seen all the museum pieces, visited all the niche communities on the station’s alt-world, participated in a pottery class, tried on new clothes, and put herself in the shoes of an Old World explorer in the sensory chambers. But no matter how enjoyable the experience, or how didactic, she always called it early, craving the quiet of her pod, access to all her systems and the six walls that protected her. And once there, she felt at peace—and empty again.

My lunch was a big potato, baked until crisp and crunchy outside, smashed open to reveal the steamy, fluffy insides, slathered with lots of butter, and then laden with spoonfuls of rainbow trout roe 🧡

A few snips of chive or spring onion and boom!

i don't even get it. The time consuming bit of VO is cutting the lines, balancing the volume, and tagging them. the actual acting into a microphone bit is -- really quick? Make an AI tool that matches dialogue lines up to a raw audio recording and snips it, and you've saved 90% of the time?!

Either way, if it ever got traced back to me, I was cooked. Toast. Done. 165 degrees. I swallowed. “Are you okay? That had to be hot.” Quiet laughter echoed in my ears. Well, that answered that question. Mr. Ackerman grimaced, then left me alone. You’re going to get me fired! Do you want to be living on the streets? I think we could swing it. Well, I don’t. Now let me work. Fine, fine… You’re cute when you’re all flustered like that. Don’t call me cute. I blew out my cheeks, then turned back to my computer. I’m not cute. His presence swirled around me, and I shuddered. Beautiful? Gorgeous? Lovely? Ugh. And here I was, getting sexually harassed by the demon in my head. I’d have to ask Victor if there was a way to tune him out. He rested his hands on my shoulders, and I stiffened slightly. Do you mind? I do. And I spent the rest of the morning with him watching me code silly little minigames for children.

Oh, this is fun and potentially a good time to drop a little smidgen—a soupçon, if you will—of chapter 3 of 'Til Forever, the yearlong and counting WIP sequel to 'Til Now.
“Wow, okay. Congratulations, Lucius, another promotion, that's amazing! Why, thank you both so much,” Lucius snips. “Congratulations, Lucius! Another promotion! That's amazing!” Stede offers, as enthusiastically as possible. “So genuine, we love it. Anyway. We're working on a new concept for the upcoming season, a sort of, ah… ‘second chance at glory’ season. Where former contestants can come back for another season. But also, it's, like, a pairs situation. There are two people working together, like a team. It's more complicated than that, but…” he trails off. Stede can feel Ed tensing up next to him, but there's no way Lucius is implying… “Are you looking for consultants?” Stede asks. “As, er, probably the only people on the show who've teamed up before, I suppose we do have valuable perspective.”

I keep forgetting the habit of posting every so often (I keep myself mainly to Discord), though I finally got my Buster Machine No. 7 figure in and set up! Pretty happy with how its come out!

(Besides the slight marks from the snips, still a beginner on cleaning those up…)
