#Smartmatic
I think it's time for Portland or Portland residents and/or businesses to suit Fox New for defamation. Just like Smartmatic did to Fox and Trump does to everyone he doesn't like.
Imagine what discovery would discover?
2020 footage said to be in 2025. A scene of protestors in Illinois, suggested as Portland.

We reviewed Fox News coverage and 700+ social media videos that preceded Trump’s decision to send the National Guard to Portland.

Here's how Fox News told a misleading story:

You really should start doing your own factchecking yourself, then when FOX, who settled out of court with Dominion Voting Company for $787.5 million just before the case was to go to trial, then when Smartmatic sued them, FOX asked them how much they wanted to settle, but Smartmatic said no, see ya

You mean... they're not?

There are some still pending. Smartmatic is still ongoing, I believe (haven't heard about it lately, tho).

Gov. Newsom filed suit against Fox in June for defamation.
Newsmax filed an antitrust lawsuit against Fox.

There may be others. ??

Business as usual.

I respect your concern. Your campaign that voting machines can't be trusted joins with Felon 47's campaign that mail in ballots are fraught with fraud. Your sources refused to look at or include any of scientific proof entered into evidence from the two law suits against Dominion and Smartmatic.
November 15, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Absent you reading any of the court evidence on either the Dominion Law suit against FOX or the court evidence from Smartmatic voting machines suing Newsmax for their false claims that their machines handed the Presidency to Biden. Since that is a corner you refuse to look at, I wish you well.

Where’s the Smartmatic $billion plus settlement with Fox?. Why four years and a full election cycle later? What’s up?
November 15, 2025 at 5:29 PM
Well I hope you are on top of the Republican donor who bought Smartmatic.
November 15, 2025 at 2:41 AM
I think you're confusing Dominion and Smartmatic.

Smartmatic was not used in the U.S. in the 2020 election (it is used in Europe). Powell promoted conspiracy theories about it.

But Dominion was widely used (including in AZ where they had the massive ballot audit). Not as much as ES&S, however.

Fox is afraid of a Trump
lawsuit. The reason is, after getting sued by Dominion and losing the the case. Then fined millions by the court. They also have a suit filed by Smartmatic pending. They can’t afford any more lawsuits. Just reading between the lines.
This just my opinion.

Media outlets have been recently sued + settled for defamation cases in the 10s->100s of MILLIONS.

Dominion/FOX News, Smartmatic/Newsmax, Kamala Harris/60 Minutes, E. Jean Carroll/ABC News, Covington/WaPo

Yet political campaigns can use Gen AI to defame their opponents without legal repercussions?
November 14, 2025 at 5:47 PM
Now there is another voting machine company, Smartmatic. They’re much smaller. If the states dumped Dominion and went to Smartmatic, they’d have change software, retool their systems, test and train, and hope everything worked correctly. Plus nobody knows if the company even can supply one more4/

And currently being sued 2x again...Smartmatic and Newsom.
November 14, 2025 at 5:06 AM
Why has Smartmatic not settled their billion dollar plus defamation suit yet? Four years and an election cycle later. Anyone on it?
November 14, 2025 at 4:29 AM
ALL were proven legit in Felon 47's law suits that they were crooked. FOX Faux News and Newsmax paid over $2 BILLION between them for lies about Dominion and Smartmatic Voting Machines. Trump is training fifty national guard teams in urban warfare to confiscate them if voting goes against MAGAs.
November 13, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Your fact-less innuendo make DOMINION Voting Machines look crooked in their design. Why serve Trump's favorite lie that he won in 2020? Rupert had to pay $778 MILLION and fire Tucker for such lies. $1.5 BILLION if he didn't fire Tuck. Newsmax had to pay SMARTMATIC $1 BILLION; for the same lies.
November 13, 2025 at 11:32 PM
Been saying this since it happened. It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that their voting machines will be utterly compromised and should not under any circumstances be used in any voting district that doesn't want their elections to be rigged. Use Smartmatic, or just stick to paper.

@indivisible-oregon.bsky.social
Any attorneys think this data can be used to replicate the Smartmatic suit against Fox? Surely, some residents, businesses, or Portland itself can be shown to have damages therefore standing. Discovery could be quite interesting.

Wonder, just as Smartmatic sued Fox, etc, and won if Portland, residents, businesses may have standing to sue Fox? Seems sure worth a rhetorical shot. Attorney's opinions?

The problem is that Fox News hasn’t paid enough in lawsuits. Keep going, Smartmatic!

And something tells me that as their base becomes unable to afford health insurance, groceries, gas, rent, etc., they may not be as entertained by Fox’s “top” stories being about Trump building $300M ballroom.
November 13, 2025 at 12:52 AM
Sue them into oblivion...just like Smartmatic did.
NEW REPORT from ProPublica finds that Fox News manufactured riots fit for air, using old footage or footage that was not of Portland, for months leading up to September.

It was so convincing that the network apparently prompted Trump to send federal forces to the Pacific Northwest. trib.al/koDwQMR

If Smartmatic can sue Fox News, the city of Portland certainly can, too.

Side note: Portland has a roughly $150m budget deficit.
November 12, 2025 at 5:45 PM
They should have been forced to drop the word "News" as part of the Dominion settlement. Just "Fox" is sufficient. Maybe Smartmatic can make it part of their deal.
November 11, 2025 at 11:43 PM
that tina peters traitor in Colorado, who is serving 9 years in prison, allowed magats into the dominion voting machines and their internal equipment. so now they own both the company and the process. we need new machines, or just replace all the dominion machines with smartmatic machines.
