DEW - our hazy languid summer afternoon colorway, jumping through sprinklers, the water catching the golden hour sunlight in a brilliant glow. Not the colors you think of when you hear the word "dew", but I felt this inspiration also held commonalities with the beautiful warmth summer mornings have, and how much this emanates the same visual for me! Dew is a variegated blend of grass green on cream, with splashes of ochre gold. The gold tends to break occasionally into beautiful tawny brown and magenta speckles, and makes each skein a little special! A happy accident, as I think it PERFECTLY matches the pinkish edges of the fading sun in the right-most inspiration image. . I wanted this next colorway to feel like the palette of shadow in a wet wood draped with soaking moss; light still hidden behind cloud cover just after a storm ends. Petrichor is an impossibly dark green with cool black undertones; it's a bit warmer than Basalt, and a few notches darker. It's extremely moody and beautiful, and I think would make a remarkable dark tone for colorwork in place of a true black! It runs a little lighter and bluer on the NSW bases, and I adore this effect. . What's this, a second reveal in one day?! I had initially planned to do 4 tonals, but 6 made it into the lineup after I wasn't able to part with any! To get everything show before 3/23, I'll be revealing tonals every other day along side variegated reveals! VERGLAS - a French word for a thin layer of ice, this felt like the PERFECT shade (and name!) for our first tonal! Pronounced "ver-glah", I wanted to pick up on some of the barely-there delicate mint blues a few of the variegated colorways are layered with. I love how transitional this could be depending on the pattern - a cozy Baby Suri + DK crew for icy winter nights? How about a Silk Sock or Yak Silk blend in a mini mock neck top?
