Slugblaster is gonna be in the Alexandria RPG Library - it doesn't show up on the PAXU schedule, you have to go to the page for the Alexandria RPG Library and then go to a separate calendar page to get to the 2025 PAXU signups that are themselves on a separate forum. 😵💫

Man, Slugblaster remains such a delight. The simple rules, the evocative setting, the fact that it comes in a PIZZA BOX (honestly, this is what first convinced me to set my eyes on the game). It just oozes style. Plus it's got a little not to Jet Set Radio in the back.

Yeah, I haven't tried Slugblaster but I've heard great things! Maybe it ironed out some of the wrinkles from the earlier FitDs I've played (same as how more recent PbtAs are quite streamlined from the earlier ones, and hardly recognizable, I'd say).

You’re describing my catnip. I can pretty much FitD with my eyes closed now. I ran a very good Slugblaster campaign over the summer without writing a single thing down.
But I can see why people dislike it for sure.

Only recently have I really gotten the itch to prep again. I'm comfortable enough prepping Slugblaster, but what really took the sting out of it was writing my zungeon, I think. That was close enough to what traditional prep could look like, but got me excited instead of anticipatorily anxious.

Continued Slugblaster by @wilkiescandylab.com last night with the home group. It’s a real testament to the game’s strong vibes and design that we can pick it up, on and off, with zero prep, not entirely remembering the rules, and still follow the fiction to a fantastic episode every session.
