#Slope
Why is the shower up front where people, if they stare through the trees, can see me?

1. Downhill slope uses gravity for flow

2. Fit the plumbing materials I already had

3. Shortest distance to run inside & warm up by the stove

4. I wanted an excuse to build a rock wall

It's been 11 months but I'm finally finishing up processing on my South Africa photos. This one is from up in the Drakensberg Mountains - so much interesting flora (and potential fauna) contributing to this view of the landscape. #Flora #NaturePhotography 🌿

There's been a mudslide on the dunning-kruger slope

An arcs have trajectories that either rise then fall or fall then rise. This POS has sustained a negative downward slope.

….and this is one of the views from the very top of the slope! 👌🏼

This is super-cool (ha). (1) Link to a preprint? (2) [stats pedantry] I'd prefer a statement about the strength of interaction (change in slope wrt °C / year of age) to a statement about dichotomous "stat sig for group X, non-sig for group Y" [sorry] Gelman & Stern. 2006. doi.org/10.1198/0003....

Yeah so Giant's Causeway actually is all that. Literally found the end of the rainbow, as well as the location for the final scene of MAEVE (Pat Murphy & John Davies, 1981) (Not pictured bc it was hailing by the time we worked it out.)

#FromMyWalk today: frost flowers bursting from thistle stems, and the winter sun skyscape pressing down on my head. No snow here, yet. Feels odd to be back walking solo round and round my tiny circuit...still there is much to see!

They're Comin Down! wp.me/p6YJx-iFy with winter approaching begins the down slope migration of many big game critters. It makes meeting them half way with our cameras a whole lot simpler. @BedfordCamera @NikonUSA #NikonAmbassador #NikonPro

Becoming a vintage Lego enthusiast is realizing that so many of the classic pieces you used to find in every set and never gave a second thought about actually went out of production entirely in the early 2000s.

It’s a slippery slope

The two islands off the coast of Newfoundland felt the earthquake, which lasted one minute. The tsunamis destroyed several structures on the islands, but thankfully did not kill or injure anyone. Various families were left homeless by the disaster.

and it inevitably reinforces racists' rhetoric that somehow WE'RE no different than they are, or when y'all say "black people can't be racist because we don't hold power"

you're trying to be buddy buddy with oppressors and sit at the table with them. you want power in THEIR system. slippery slope.

It's the extent to which it can be abused that has always worried me and the slippery slope - state sanctioned murder for kinds of reasons - it puts us on .

It is definitely a slippery slope, I don't disagree. But... I guess my internal logic is... When a smaller/indie Dev team uses tools to help them make something special... it's a positive... when a huge publisher uses slop to "save" money...fuck those people. If that makes sense

What's the point of running a meticulously organized calendar if you aren't going to check it? I don't mind doing this one alone but I'm worried it's going to be a slippery slope.

From what I understand is they payed actors to use their voices to train their own Ai vocals. I personally have decided to not buy ARC because of this, as I see it as the beginning of a slippery slope, but I would by no means call the game slop.

HB 289 would create a slippery slope that could lead to fertilized eggs and embryos having the same rights as a living person. That means for a pregnant patient, lawyers, not doctors, will be consulted if they need health care, including in an emergency. #flleg
