Australia has Discord on a workaround, same with the US but it's only a matter of time. The only time I had to verify my ID was for Sizecon. I really can't trust everything else right now but it's gonna get harder soon, especially in the US if KOSA finally gets approval.

20- i have not been to sizecon, i don't see myself attending it either. i don't think it's quite my thing. too much anxiety, i used to have a real bad problem with that, it's better now but it's still bad in unfamiliar social spaces

Thank you for mentioning that, and yes, before SizeCon we had a local NYC meetup (unfortunately now defunct), but point being, it all starts local! I really encourage people to organize in their areas, as you never know what y'all can build together! I'd love to have SizeCons all over the world 😍

People like @jitenshasw.bsky.social try to form a coherent community out of this interest space. By starting sizecon , etc. Based on the furry community, which is more coherent. It's commendable but we all still struggle with the idea I think - maybe there's just too few of us,

Also @chwani.bsky.social and I (among others) have access to the previous Size Language 101 presentations we've done at SizeCon Micros. Every time I tell myself, "I need to update that dang spreadsheet w some of these terms" but usually I'm exhausted from the event and forget till the next SCM. 😅
