...Breathless and the French New Wave will enjoy Nouvelle Vague. It's totally a French New Wave film made in 2025. The actors who played Godard, Seberg and Belmondo were spot on.

Y de alguna forma, es un bello desagravio frente a las dos horribles muertes/asesinatos de Jean Seberg: la político-social y la que le propinó el horrible telefilme protagonizado por Kristen Stewart.

Watched Nouvelle Vague tonight. Loved it. A French New Wave film in 2025. I was reminded of Truffaut's Day for Night, a film about making a film. But it's about real people making a real landmark film. The actors so embodied Godard, Seberg and Belmondo I almost forgot it wasn't them. ⬇️

Just signed up for a month of Netflix so I could watch Nouvelle Vague and Frankenstein. Got a first month upgrade to the premium plan for $17.99. I added Stranger Things and Wednesday to my "stuff" to try out because people talk about them a lot. Anything else I should be checking out?

You know there is now a minigenre of films just about Godard's life and early career: Redoubtable (2017), Seberg (2019), and now Linklater's Nouvelle Vague (2025). It is strange and really seems to completely miss the point of Godard's work.

Happy birthday to Jean-Luc Goddard, who hasn’t been in in any of the biopics we’ve talked about, but did make Jean Seberg our immortally favorite American girl in Paris. #movies #jeanseberg Listen to our episode on #Seberg, starring Kristen Stewart: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/b...

"'His film isn’t out yet but it’s called Breathless, with Jean Seberg & Jean-Paul Belmondo; they all say it’s fantastic. You should go & see it.' And I asked them, is he the guy with dark glasses? Because he’s a very strange guy."

@talkingpicturestv.bsky.social is on fire atm, Fellini last week, Goddard this week, outstanding. This is a great opportunity to catch a bona fide movie classic, a movie that created a whole new fashion thanks to Jean Seberg😎
Time to pop the kettle on and grab some supper before settling down to some classic international cinema!

December movie day 1: The Mouse that Roared.

A satirical comedy on a ban the bomb theme. The small Grand Dutchy of Fenwick manages to successfully invade the United States of America and win the war against them.

Triple role for Peter Sellers.

Watched Godard's 'Breathless' (1959) last night which was very amusing to see scenes that were portrayed being filmed in Linklater's 'Nouvelle Vague' (2025). For 'Nouvelle Vague', I thought the Godard performance was particularly great.

Streamed Linklater's biopic/drama NOUVELLE VAGUE: Jean Luc Godard making BREATHLESS in 1960. Then streamed Godard's BREATHLESS itself. Fun, all that Paris, & the big ideas, & Godard's aesthetic, and Belmondo so nihilist, & Jean Seberg lovely & awesome. Cool. And the Linklater is cute.
