you are not limitted by merely screentones in this filter. noise, gradients, image patterns, & an expression language with a bunch of different presets. each of these all have their own options to play around with & tweak.

learned about SeExpr in krita. This is pretty much exactly what I've wanted since I started and it's been here this whole damn time I just never saw it.

Ok actually Krita has GMIC scripts which seems decently more powerful than SeExpr so I'll look into that a bit more.

Hybrid workflow with FreeCAD and Krita sounds like a bit of a pain. And Krita SeExpr are still kinda slow and I'm missing some. stuff that I would find in shaders, even with my relatively low experience
