#SSTV
The Mighty KBC's Dave & Eric will be warming up the airwaves tonight with some great rock 'n' roll 0100-0300 UTC (Sat. 8-10p EST) on 5950 kHz.

Decode a "Birthday Radiogram" in MFSK64 at 0230 UTC and a mix of SSTV & MFSK in the "DX Headlines" segment later ~0250 UTC.

That was about the way it was here, too. Image didn't get triggered. By the time Birthday Radiogram rolled signal was down, but not out. I only decodes some of the text. Didn't stick around for SSTV.

Get ready for ARISS SSTV Series 30 starting Wednesday!

Celebrate the ISS at 25, ARISS at 25, and the amazing work that Scouting does!

Thanks to the ops team for passing along all the timings for this event from the crew schedule.

You know that Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) was the first educational payload on the station! So we are going to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the ISS in style!

Get ready for an SSTV event covering parts of 9 days! It's scheduled to kick off on Wed. November 12.

All systems nominal for the ARISS radios today. So, have some fun making voice and APRS contacts!

Remember, beginning Wed. 12-Nov, SSTV Series 30 will replace APRS for 9 days, so get those packets sent while you can!

People may think it is difficult. I did it with a radio, a groundplane antenna (home made out of a SO-239 jack and coat hangers) and my phone (Black Cat's CQ SSTV), and the speaker close to the phone. Super easy.

I assume you mean with the spectrograms. I'm not saying it should have been spectrograms regardless. It's just what I knew of at the time. SSTV is an interesting thing.

Reminder that due to a conflict with some activities on the ISS, there will be no SSTV event this weekend.

Teams are working to reschedule in mid-November. Please watch our feed for info as it's available.
The schedule on the ISS has created a conflict with this weekend's planned SSTV event.

Due to some EVA's (spacewalks) the ARISS Series 30 SSTV event will be rescheduled. It's now targeted for mid-November.

Wrapping up the week in shortwave digital image decodes, the @radioactiveal.bsky.social image of the week on the #MightyKBC was John Prine, who I don't think I've ever heard before, despite knowing the name. The Peter Johns DX SSTV was even more ratty.

Also the ISS is transmitting SSTV pics at the moment on 145.8Mhz and are giving out certificates to those who send in a copy of a recieved picture. Lion needs a better antenna for Satellite but his SDR and SSTV decoding software is up to the task. :)

Впервые принял в хорошем качества все 12 изображений серии с Международной космической станции (МКС) в формате SSTV PD120. Случилось это на серии #29. Есть повод заполнить шаблон для коллекции.

A basket of riches for SSTV afficionados.

Here's another one. From UmKA-1, one of the 70 cm satellites. Robot36 mode. More challenging but shorter duration image transmissions.

Switched to using my laptop to decode the SSTV signals from the ISS and it works so much better. #Hamradio

World Space Week is now officially underway and the ARISS SSTV event is into day 2!

Get out this weekend or early next week and capture some images from space. All the information you need is in the graphic below.

First try at capturing SSTV images from the international space station using just a HT radio and my software on my phone. It’s messy but I’m just surprised it worked at all. #hamradio

Nice! Thank you @ARISS_Intl. Looking good for ISS SSTV images here in Vancouver. Great reception right down to the horizon. TA-1 Turnstile antenna from @wimo_de and @SDRplay RSPduo tuner running through SkyRoof.
