I don't understand what you mean about lack of popular support for the "Reset" talks ? The discussions in May were very well received. The press was pretty positive (ignoring the Daily Mail/Telegraph), and polling has shown good support in general and for the proposals on SPS and Youth Mobility 🤔

At this moment, I have 17-18,000 "followers" - people who've appreciated something I've shared/posted/liked. It isn't a Jim Jonesian type ideological currency. It's appreciated. I assemble daily SPs so these people can connect w. each other. And I vet. I challenge ea. of you to reflect today, 11/11.

No, they don't. The UK SPS will be comprehensive, like Switzerland, and it will be "inside" effectively for food standards.

I don't honestly see how even an SPS agreement is possible because there are a load of SI's that have gone through the UK parliament to lower standards on things I thought would be important to an SPS agreement. 🤷♂️

The UK Treasury always had a grudge Erasmus costs, but allowing that penny-pinching shortsightedness and paranoia about youth mobility legislation get in the way of big symbolic moves that can help get UK gains on SPS and carbon tax talks where serious money is involved is not smart

The reneging on what was previously agreed is coming from the EU - the reset agreement refers to contributing to the direct costs of SPS and ETS, not to contributing to regional funds

MicroG maybe a FOSS method of implementation yet it still installs/uses proprietary Google binaries/executables under the hood all with LESS functionality than sandboxed Play Services,even requiring system privileges & being baked into the OS for full functionality despite being limited against SPS.

An SPS agreement between 🇪🇺 and 🇬🇧 isn’t the same as single market membership; unless the EU were to suggest separating the four freedoms, which it clearly isn’t. Otherwise, by that reasoning, countries like 🇯🇵 and 🇳🇿 would also count as single market members, since they have similar SPS agreements.
