🚑 Last week, after meeting SECAmb CEO Simon, I toured the Gatwick Make Ready Centre and went on a ride out with paramedics Luke and Des.

It was humbling and impressive to see them in action. I learned so much in those few hours. Thank you for letting me join you.

Wow: and now I belatedly see the early work of pioneering NHS SECAmb ambulance trust- which worked to widen 1st Responders, improve CPR - built on the shoulders of such an inspiring medic. May he rest in peace & his legacy continue to push innovation that saves lives & improve outcomes for all.

Today, ambulance services paid its respects to Professor Douglas Chamberlain OStJ. The guard of honour looked exceptionally impressive, well done to SECAmb, and all Amb Services members who attended the ceremony.

"A great reference, both for the paramedics who are experienced within primary care and those who are developing careers in acute and urgent care. The 'easy read' approach makes the information accessible and the frequent use of case studies promotes individual reflection." - Danny Dixon, SECAmb

On behalf of its members, AACE offer sincere condolences to all whose lives were touched by the remarkable Prof. Douglas Chamberlain.

Generally some good news for amb trusts - this is the % of staff recommending it as a place to work. Real progress at some - SECAmb and East of England - but worrying for SCAS - though reorganisation and loss of PTS contracts may have something to do with it.
