Drove through rural Michigan the other day and was shocked at the number of dispensaries. As common as liquor stores

On the Electoral College, the numbers matter.

The heavily skewed and gerrymandered Electoral College was created when 95% of the population was rural. That's reversed today. It is too heavily gerrymandered and skewed in bias for the small, failed red states. The numbers bear it out:

I’m so angry about the government and media spin on Canada Post. It’s narrow minded, uninformed propaganda that is not delivering facts.

Rural and remote communities will pay enormous amounts for this public service, one of the few federal services even available to them.

Remember this past summer's big ugly tax giveaway, courtesy of Drumpf & the GOP? They cut $1 trillion from Federal health care so the wealthy could get another tax break. Get Ready! Rural & urban hospitals that serve the poorest among us are bracing for the worst.

Who is doing that? Nobody is doing that. Dems from rural areas know their communities. Nobody from NYC is running in OK.

My rural Washington county is currently manufacturing a housing "crisis" by adopting additional code bloat that will "unhouse" 100s under the guise of safety & security. But even without this mfg'd event, the volume of the shortage has so many people in crisis, it's difficult not to use this word.

Contrary to what Marge has stated, public broadcasting is a lifeline for rural areas.
"Public media's been truly innovative in reaching underserved audiences. It was [a] public TV station that first invented closed captioning in the 1970s."

Thanks for the Last Week Tonight shout-out, John Oliver!

Totally agree — rural Rajasthani food still holds its true traditional essence. Modern changes come and go, but the classic flavors remain rooted in culture. 🙌

Dollar General – DEI rollback + rural food-desert problem makes boycott counterproductive for the exact communities getting screwed. And it’s kind of a long one so we could really cut some words that way — maybe down below “Animal Farm” length. 8/

The overarching goal of this project is to achieve CO2-neutral heating across the entire village by leveraging existing facilities and local resources. This initiative exemplifies how rural areas can contribute positively to energy transition efforts while promoting climate-friendly solutions.

Their living standard began to decline.

It is true national pride can play a role, Orban's rural conservative nationalist base of support is attracted to his promise of undoing the Treaty of Trianon's perceived unjust fragmentation of the Hungarian people & his work getting diaspora voting rights.

Look, I don’t care for rural Racine County in Wisconsin either, but I don’t think I would have left Caledonia for islands off the coast of Australia
two of these six teams will qualify for the MWC and I probably couldn’t have come up with a more @sickoscommittee.org field if I tried

Every rural community whose ER has been closed intermittently should understand the plan is to close that ER all together, and then, the hospital. Smaller communities are abused endlessly by conservatives. But the rhetoric & big man presentation is satisfying, so yay. Go Doug.
