#Retrocausality
Also fascinating the number of people who treat the original Livescream as a "nostalgia" piece now, but in that manner of....not realizing it was made in 2018, in the midst of everything. They treat it with retrocausality.

being trans is a kind of retrocausality

I wasn't trans until I transitioned, but then after I transitioned I realized that I always was trans

Not sure tbh, but every now and then popsci outlets need to talk about retrocausality. It's in their contracts

Thinking about retrocausality again.

For real time-symmetry you want a retrocausal model, with agents safely outside the modeled system. Anything an agent does is an incoming causal arrow, even when Alice or Bob choose some final measurement setting. #NeverModelAlice 2/2

Your thinking here is far more aligned with what's commonly called "retrocausality", not superdeterminism. Here's a popular-level summary from a few years back. It would work essentially the same for massive particles as it does for photons. aeon.co/essays/can-r...

I saw this on Facebook and it reminded me of one of my favorite jokes:

The bartender said: "We don't serve tachyons here!"
A tachyon walked into a bar...

Isn't this included under the option to deny "Independence" (i.e., allow the distribution of particle states to be statistically correlated with the measurement settings), or am I mistaken? I breifly touched on superdeterminism & retrocausality.

So what’s inside? Entropy, quantum archaeology, archaeological thermodynamics, post-landscapes, UI psychogeography, non-place cultural spaces, digital abandonment and drift, complexity and retrocausality, noise, technofossils, & more brought to you by “Charlie”, your kind human guide through it all.

How is retrocausality in Physics distinct from Kurt Godël's incompleteness? I can't see a practical distinction between unknowable causes and retrospective attributions of retrocausality.

Don't know if you're familiar with Bertrand Méheust's work (don't know how much was translated in English) but it seems he somehow talks a lot about that though he never uses the term. Well, it'd be more like a mix of retrocausality and hyperstition, but I can't really tell the difference 😬
