Mended a friend’s pair of Dickie’s - a long vertical rip from mid-pocket down. I backed this with denim for a sturdy mend, and now these pants can get on with their second life.

A pair of mustard coloured Dickie’s work pants with a large vertical patch of fabric sewn onto the front of the thigh. The fabric is different shades of red with gold, and off-white squared with black rabbits in them. Fabric is sewn down with a series of straight stitches in pale gold running across the fabric.

I first heard about Speedweve looms years ago, when they were unavailable in the US, so I hunted one down from Ukraine. Still the best mending tool I've used, and they're being made again and easily available.

I've always tried to live by the #RepairDontReplace mantra, so I love this idea.

I recently replaced the analog sticks in my and my wife's Nintendo Switch joycons to correct the stick drift.

And took the time to do a shell swap while I was in there.
