Government, taxes, & regulation are good actually

Oh dearie me! How shocking?

Any ideas of just who, exactly, may have betrayed small business owners?

I guess we’ll never know.

There is no positive benefit to the best growth of sports gambling.

But there are nearly infinite downsides.

Like, whatever your opinion of government regulation is, sports gambling has to fit within the world of acceptable subjects of regulation.
Breaking news per Jeff Passan: “Cleveland Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz have been indicted by prosecutors in Brooklyn on a host of charges related to a scheme to rig bets on pitches thrown in MLB games. Ortiz was arrested in Boston earlier today. Clase is not currently in custody”

I do not understand the Labour government's reticence over defending the BBC and social media regulation. Their long-term survival basically depends on it. Their cowardice in the face of it may be the single thing they are most remembered for.

NFL games in Europe that end regulation in ties should be settled by penalty kicks.

The absolute collapse of their stupid AI ruse — hopefully followed by a massive wave of tech regulation and imprisoning the politicians who enabled this — cannot come soon enough.

Congrats to Andrew Thomas for keeping a clean sheet in regulation.

I just saw someone say that people back in the day (1800s) didn’t pay for healthcare and (1) y’all there was a lot of advertising for health products!

It was just that without any real regulation, nobody knew what worked.

American Soccer culture is a 100-minute regulation match because 90 minutes ain't 💯percent, IMO

in reality, everyone *wants* regulation. republicans just prefer that it resembles a protection racket.
Trump says he’s told DOJ to investigate the meatpacking companies, which he blames for high prices.

Should read:

Farage says small business owners who thought Brexit would cut regulation have been betrayed - by charlatans like himself who spearheaded their betrayal.

Fixed it.

Gavin Brindley wins it in overtime. Avs first win after regulation.

They did it.
I just don't know how you take Gavin Brindley out of this lineup even after Logan O'Connor returns.

He's been tremendous.

Becker: This comes down to a difference in interpretation between MA and the USDA.

Talwani: But what you ignore is that there is specific language in the regulation that defines what the minimum amount is.

Hemp regulation is a genuine issue but overnight obliteration is ludicrously bad policy. Whole lot of hemp and hemp-associated businesses will go under, this criminalizes basically every delta-8/9 product with enough in it to have a psychoactive effect.

(Those 24 Senators voted the right way.)
The shutdown deal includes a ban on hemp products that none of its negotiators debated in public.

Disappointing that only 24 senators voted against killing an amendment to strike that ban.

Farage: "I can tell you, a decade on almost from the referendum, that in every single industry, from financial services to fisheries, the burden of regulation, the threat of the regulator is worse now than it was then."

And who's fault is that?

From a global low of 5,000 individuals in the 1960's, their numbers today are 135,000 globally.

That's an astonishing recovery driven by research, regulation and public support that led to international cooperation on whaling bans.

Take a victory lap, whale supporters!
