Predatory behaviour of the lacewing was classified in predator–prey interactions: (a) beginning of the interaction—encounter; (b) biting the prey—bite; (c) end of the interaction (killing the prey)—kill. If defensive behaviour is effective, the predator–prey interaction does not involve (c) kill.
