So as for the eyes, the illusion isn’t perfect, essentially 4 of the eyestalks are puppeteering the 4 ‘human limbs’. 6 are still visible outside the body and the one on the face is the 11th central eye :)

Had a half-way decent audition out-of-town today (involving some puppeteering!!!!) and stopped for an espresso after. Was shocked that they had a little vegan lemon Bundt cake that was actually maybe the best coffee shop treat I’ve ever had.

I was always a huge consumer of BTS and SFX information. The first one I remember was for Return of The Jedi, I was 8, I think, and I was amazed at the process for puppeteering Jabba. One guy just to work the tongue?! Amazing. Then it was Fangoria Magazine, kneeling before the SFX greats.

The lion king is my favorite live performance. The puppeteering and costuming is nothing short of genius and seeing this again as an adult had me crying twice. I’d go again if I could.

Seeing Oingo Boingo former members on Halloween was glorious! Fairmont the wolf here accompanied me to provide a costume: we went as pedestrian wolves last Halloween and were the hour of the wolf this time. What a beautiful venue, good balance of seats and floor. San Luis Obispo is gorgeous.

The problem with Death Stranding is I can't just make silly animations with those models cause it would feel like puppeteering the likenesses of actual people and it's kinda fucked up, so I haven't even considered it.
