Tbh I find old screens cold, but the iMax screens are hot and after seeing the heat the equipment produces I now know why, those projectors are hot!

My wife bought one of those tiny 4K projectors on tik tok for probably $20 just because she thought I’d like the fake window scenes and she was 100% on the money with that call.

Something that may help (I learned this from making Star Trek LCARS) is getting letter sized transparency (like the kind our teachers used for overhead projectors) and printing a black only mask. If you put it between the print and the LEDs it will help blot out unwanted light

In the following years came the "audio-visual" games (like Periscope and Speedway), film-based experiences, and the aforementioned wall games.

And even these projection-based golf simulators have had a life of their own as legitimate simulators, detached from coin-op.

Absolutely no Christmas decorations up yet, but disco light projectors don't count (until December)

I mean, I feel your pain, but QT lived and filmed here. AFS and the Alamo are what gave him the programming experience (through QT Fest) that led to the New Beverly. We have at least two 70mm projectors and countless 35mm. This is a snub.

It’s time for more guerilla media resistance. We need projectors in every major city. We need public art popping up.

I feel like we did this better last round. Too much stuff is only on the internet.

We need to make sure these resistance efforts and general
Mocking of Drumph are highly visible.

Those cameras are part of the reason film prints of Vertigo and North By Northwest are absolutely breathtaking

It's a shame there aren't more Vistavision projectors and prints in the world, but seeing anything shot with VV cameras in 70mm and/or IMAX is worth the trip and the cost

Compared with the spinny persistence-of-vision, I bet this is a lot more practical to scale up—just need more projectors and blocks

Why do I (when I search by price) see video projectors on Amazon with a resolution of 320 x 240 ?

How is that even a thing?

Glasses. Didn’t get a demo of that but the theory is there is so much more light out of these projectors that the image is much stronger.
