“What is an image reflecting my feelings of #PowerBI Core Visuals Improvements oversell” also works.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: EVERY #PowerBI feature prioritisation meeting vote should be preceded by a day sitting in the trenches alongside the canon fodder :-)

Apparently visual appeals for visual improvements work best.

I think we can all agree that there have been so many options for so many years.

Obviously the place to start would be “yesterday”. And presumably there is stuff in play.

Cue “The P in #PowerBI stands for P_______”

I’ve been thinking about the things I want in #PowerBI and how they might be seen/prioritised very differently by others.

I think we all tend to focus on arguing for pet features, instead of people outcomes.

A column headers tooltip is a people outcome. Why don’t we have such a simple benefit?

Yes, you're reading that right, we're going to download a report that cannot be downloaded. Well, it cannot be downloaded from the user interface, that is. Suppose you have a report in a Power BI work...

I learned Power BI from people who shared their work for free, wrote articles, and made videos. And I am incredibly grateful for that. Now I try to do the same and give back to the community: examples/videos/articles: www.porcu.bi

I’ve been thinking about the massive rewrite that the visual layer in #Excel got years back and the courage and capital it must have taken…and accepted that #PowerBI both needs that quantum and will never get even a fraction of it.

F**k it @wisevis.com was right: it can’t be unborked.

Had my first positive experience with a #PowerBI related MCP server. I was able to use to help identify columns in a data model for a missing dimension, as well as identify what valid values existed across fact tables.

This week we are challenging ourselves to build an actual scale chart of the average sea level changes from 1900 to 2020.

You can also extend the challenge by building in some animations.

The DAX Package Manager (in Tabular Editor 3) is now the benchmark for future implementations of DAX Library integration in other external tools.
It's so fast that I thought it didn't work when I installed the first library.
Kudos to the TE3 team!
