We don't even have a real main post office here anymore. All our mail is processed through Omaha and trucked around. Sad that we lost our local city postmark too. Closest we have is a postal desk at the grocery store.

...and here's another nice RF stamp, from 1968.
(I wrote about this one in my novel Back Flip; see ALT text.)

The process has always been to accept ballots with a postmark before the polls close. This is not an issue SCOTUS should be wasting time looking at. They and the felon are trying to destroy a voting system that works and counts all legal votes.

My state goes by postmark. So the USPS said they wouldn’t necessarily postmark things the date received.

They are trying to sabotage the vote. Including the military.

Taxes use a postmark date, why not this?

This also impacts CA. Some small R Counties in CA only have Mail in voting. But all Counties have this same rule, postmark by voting day but can be received later.

With no guaranteed QOS, the only reliable evidence of timely accountability is the postmark.

Dylan O'Brien on a stamp (Deutsche Post Germany).

Thank you very much to @shockshit.com , who provided me with the picture. Thomas informed me that he had this stamp printed as a 'Personalized Stamp' (or 'Individual Stamp') in 2018. This stamp was officially in circulation.

Republicans criticisms of vote-by-mail counting timelines, while often levied in bad faith, ask good questions that we need to better address.

Why should it take two weeks to count votes, aside from the ones that trickle in after the postmark deadline? What would it take to speed up the process?

We've just announced our latest Postmark Games release: 52 Duels!

I'm really happy how this came together; an extremely tense and fun duelling game, only needing a sheet and deck of standard playing cards for each player.

Follow on Kickstarter so you know when the project goes live in December!

Nice, this sounds very cool! Always great to see what Matthew and Rory at Postmark come up with:
Let’s go!

Very excited to share this with folks. If you like the idea of a duelling game like Magic or Flesh and Blood, but played with a standard poker deck, then I implore you to hit that get notified button.

Bought something from eBay and it seemed to come with a poem and a postcard (complete with message) that has a 1988 postmark. Very peculiar but I appreciate the extra stuff

That number will go up as election-day-postmark ballots arrive and provisional ballots are adjudicated.

UPDATE: Lt. Governor Deidre Henderson says voter turnout across Utah is now 28%. Ballots must be in by 8pm to be counted! It's too late to postmark, so use a dropbox or go in-person. #utpol #Utah

My understanding is that an &lit is a clue in which the whole clue is, in its entirety, simultaneously a definition and wordplay. Your Postmark example isn’t an &lit, as it can be broken into a definition (‘dairy product’) and wordplay (the rest).

If you're in the USA, don't forget to vote today. If you're voting in Washington State, you should turn your ballot in at a ballot box, do not trust the post office to postmark your ballot by today. It's important to do your civic duty and vote every year, not just every 2 or 4 years.

WTF? It's by POSTMARK. Voters submitted their ballot before the deadline but don't have control over the postal service.

Here in Oregon we're exclusively vote by mail so this is a HUGE deal.
