#Post-Capitalism
Well, yes! And I do think it's also worth noting that at no point during the slow transition from feudalism to capitalism was the idea of a post-scarcity society possible, whereas now I think it's on the horizon.

Ironically, we have to post about politics, because capitalism has ruined all the hobbies that we would otherwise be talking about. There's a reason why the sentiment in fan communities is overwhelmingly negative when it comes to everything that's happening.

about his usual left accelerationism post 68, what is on the book obviously doesnt give us a conclusion but is Fisher approaching texts like Lyotard or Deleuze and Guattari or the autonomists to discuss an exit from capitalism in a dialectical way with his students, how communism failed after 68

Cable & Deadpool is really interesting because Cable is from a post apocalyptic future so he thinks capitalism is barbaric and he becomes super powerful so he tries to start a liberation movement in the present.

Like the style has it's place, but a very warts and all post apocalypse that is actively critical of the excesses of capitalism and the patriarch is not it.

We still have capitalism. Capitalism and post-scarcity society while not polar opposites are at least fundamentally incompatible: Capitalism is *defined* by rewarding disequitable distribution of limited resources. If everybody can have anything they want, there's nothing left to transact for.

I'm going on a hot take maybe but there is no way capitalism can lead to post-scarcity - capitalism is built on profiting from (and therefore manufacturing) scarcity.
We bought into the "post scarcity" narrative because digital tech feels so magic and ethereal but we need to get back to an understanding of the material costs and effects of those systems. They are not very post-scarce in reality.

the earth was pre-scarcity and sustainable and renewable before capitalism.

post-scarcity is only achievable through the subsumption of capitalism.

I'm not sure who you're talking about exactly, but people talking about a post-scarcity period are typically saying the scarcity is artificial.

This post 👇 references USA but same is true in Canada. Our regulated capitalism and our urban development model has created expensive car dependency. It’s time to break down this captured economy. Give people real freedom of choice.

Transportation costs are the second largest burden on American family budgets (17%), after housing (33%)!
To address the affordability crisis, we must create cities with abundant housing of all types (subsidized, social, coop, market rate) and make walking, biking, and taking transit convenient.

Since this post is getting more traction, do not buy the bear cup.

Starbucks employees are on strike no , also Starbucks is anti Palestine~ which is another reason to not support Starbucks besties

Let’s not blindly follow capitalism or trends
Apparently people are squaring up at Starbucks for a glass bear cup… I have no right to judge how people send their time or money (I’m a furry) but getting up at 4 am and fighting someone for a glass cup is a bit extreme no?

(Also I thought we were boycotting Starbucks what happened?)

Will i get banned if i post “i wanna feed capitalism into a wood chipper feet first” cuz capitalism isnt a single threatable person right

First, you're taking this out of context by doing a post retweet. Second, the grifters have always been people who sell stuff. This was about an AI salesman trying to pitch an AI game by doing rainbow capitalism.

it is very likely we are already living in a post-capitalism-society heading into techno-feudalism, just very gradually having that truth revealed to us in increments as to not cause an unmanageable amount of uproar.
make no mistake, these people want you dead or enslaved.

Sorry for the horrorfuel.

Good science fiction will posit what we'll be punk about post-capitalism. There'll always be a norm that needs queering.
When we abolish capitalism there will be fewer reasons to be angry

So we probably won't get much good punk rock

An awful decision

I wrote a lil post about a poetry book I first read in 2010, and then reread again just this week. Like everything, it ended up being about arts in late capitalism! Here, if you're interested -- open.substack.com/pub/sadrevie...

The Washington Post article regarding JD Vance's Rockbridge Network. Rockbridge aims to equip MAGA to outlive Trump. Its projects aim to push unrestrained capitalism into American life, gearing up to deploy its arsenal in the 2026 midterms & 2028 presidential contest.
