its not just that they're hurting us, if we get angry about it we're the "monsters". Hurting us doesn't make them monsters but us getting emotional about it does.

It's literally this. So many humans have a hard time sorting out "they treated me politely/nicely" from "they are a good person".
People can be nice and polite and still be someone who thinks you don't deserve your life and will gladly use systems to kill you without bloodying their own vile hands.

I haven't spoken about Epstein because in all honesty, it is so disgusting & I did not wish to read about it. Today I read the NYT piece, anyone associated with that pos, whether they committed a crime or not, should not be allowed in polite society ever again. I wish them all the worst.

Oh yeah the meeting was yesterday and, it was fine, my caseworker is fine, she was polite and I tried my best to be human, still have Income Assistance and there wasn't any sort of possibility of losing it. (Forgot to tell her that she's barely audible over the phone though, oops..)

I’ve gotten to the point where I can attend family dinners w/some reliability. I don’t talk much, & eventually I have to be quiet. Problem is, my facial muscles give out quickly making my attempts at a polite smiles & quite interest look like I’m glaring
