Inland Australia is collapsing from #buffelgrass invasion and the intense, frequent fires it fuels
Buffel springs back after the fires (this is 19 days post fire) - it is known in Pitjantjatjara as mamu tjanpi (devil’s grass)
Governments are still encouraging pastoralists to plant it - devils.

Hello lovely people. I hope you are well. I had a good rest and a nice kip so I am catching up on all the news good and bad.

Forty years ago today the Australian government returned ownership of Uluru to the Pitjantjatjara people with joint management until 2084. Climbing became highly restricted.

We are they. Always feel its the deep seated genocidal guilt causes intense racism towards Indigenous ppl in this country. SA legislated Pitjantjatjara land rights in Dunstan's SA come to mind as a closely lived experience. Many years later nothing has changed-worse if at all.
