The funniest thing about that last one is that there's an already existing term that would be applicable, but doesn't inherently demonize trans people in a situation. It's pinkwashing. Don't get it twisted the entire take was terrible but We Have Words For Things!

Given the context of our patriarchal society and the currently reactionary political climate, do we think this is an article about m-spec attraction or the pinkwashing of the relentless pressure to participate in heterosexual society even when you're queer?

What seems more likely?
Some of Kort’s gay clients feel alienated from gay culture. Others say they’ve always wanted a traditional heterosexual family unit regardless of their own orientation. Kort acknowledges that the process of making a mixed-orientation marriage work can be “brutal” and that the number of people interested in entering one is small. “I tell them, ‘Be careful who you’re telling, because you’re not going to get a lot of support for this,’” he said. “It’s almost like they have to go into the closet as a couple.”

Yes people play their games in such a way despite the rules not allowing for substantive means of arbitration (i.e., we should not lionize a game for not getting in /our/ way).

But this is a megacorporation. It sent pinkertons. It donates to foul causes. It suppports wicked men.

Its pinkwashing.
