cool! one way to understand the project at the hardware/pi level is thinking of it as "pikvm... for mobile". /most/ of the hardware advice for making your own "diy v2 pikvm" applies to valet, too, at the moment: docs.pikvm.org/v2/

hiding an MMC io error to the zero sector which persists across SD cards
I was able to upload an image to the PiKVM it's attached to and works just fine, and then insert a card and badblocks -vsn /dev/mmcblk0 looks fine so far

ja, ich habe da bis zu drei proxmox knoten (ha brauchts aktuiell nicht, da kann ich auch mal was ausschalten), eine pikvm und einem cloud gateway ultra mit dem ich mich gerade versuche anzufreunden :) Für den klassischen 19" Schrank fehlt hier einfach der platz.

i tend to get the 8gb ram pi 4 models because i'm fancy, but the pikvm docs are probably accurate: 2gb is /probably/ enough (though maybe i'd still hedge and get the 4gb model) because of the extra stuff we're running for automation, opencv image processing, etc.

Slightly annoyed #RaspberryPi 5 isn't supported for PiKVM because it doesn't have a dedicated GPU encoder like 4 had. I'm sure somebody makes it work with CPU encoding at some point but right now pikvm.org say it's not supported.

that being said i'm glad i swapped it because pikvm feels a lot nicer than blikvm's software lol. i'm glad blikvm exists of course but the pikvm UI feels nicer. plus this oled script fits everything on one screen
