Phyllo-in your frozen section. Thaw in the fridge. You’ve done that, now open the pack, lay it out flat.

Brush a 9X13 pan, or similar with your clarified/rendered butter. Lay 2 sheet down(be careful) do it again 6 times.

Take 1/3 of the nut mix and lay it in. Spread it. 4 more sheets of pastry 3/

Have you ever made a dish w/phyllo (or Filo) dough before? If not there are other steps including a boatload of butter that needs to be rendered. If you have, the recipe is simple. If you haven’t you’ll need more time.

ENOUGH! I’m making baklava. Have rendered my butter, have mixed my filling, now to the syrup and layers upon layers of Phyllo. Smells right, hope it’s good.

Prepped mini quiches for the work week! This time I used phyllo shells to try something different. Will go back to mini pie crusts next time, these are a little tiny.

Also made dinner! HelloFresh meal, it’s lemony linguine with brussel sprouts 10/10.

Oh, I’m glad. And this way you don’t have to buy phyllo dough, then try to use it all before it dries up.
And it seems I’m using more ricotta all the time. Such a flexible ingredient!

This is such a boon for me! I don’t waste a scrap of food in my house and there are endless yummy possibilities here. I used to make Cornish Pasties with phyllo but this is infinitely easier and 1/2 with a salad would be my whole meal.
There will be ricotta! Ricotta rocks! 😄

Today I made meat hand pies. Turned out amazing. Beef, lamb, kale, squash, potato, mint, thyme, garlic, nature's seasoning, feta, goat, and blue cheese, cumin, cayenne pepper, phyllo dough. Definitely something I'll do again.
