Rachel Miller is saying this as if somehow, she’s gained insight. Given that we’re still at below poverty levels of support, Compulsory Income Management is still alive and raising debts is happening across govt, nope.
“We just didn’t have any insight into what it felt like to be receiving a government benefit” ~ Rachel Miller

I do wonder if those heartless lying ghouls like Tudge and Morrison will ever watch this? #peoplevsrobodebt

Just finished watching #PeopleVsRobodebt. Great television but absolutely devastating viewing. Reminded me all over again how much I despised the LNP government. Come on #NACC, do your job! #auspol

Yeah, poor Miller, who received $650,000. Rhys Miller committed suicide, but where is his compensation to his family for his death?

Just so we're clear @theshovel.bsky.social it's a simple case of both Scott FMG Morrison + Malcolm Chevron Turnbull guilty, with plenty more bad apples to add to that #PeopleVSRobodebt barrel.

After warning DHS Robodebt will cause suicides, Colleen Taylor spks on finding out Rhys Cauzzo took his life
“The final straw for me was the reaction to it…denying that it has anything to do with Robodebt” saying Rhys “lied to Centrelink”
“Just unforgivable”😔

Public hearings of the NACC are essential if we are ever to get justice and a complete airing of the nasty, unkind, entitled and persecutory Liberal govt that brought this shocking policy to life. Needless to say, Paul Brereton should not have any role in the NACC on this topic.

"Centrelink became Australia's largest criminal organisation". Innocent people's lives were traumatised.
Many took their lives.
Yet those responsible for the fraudulent cruel social security scheme have not been prosecuted, yet.

Having just inhaled SBS's incredibly important #PeoplevsRobodebt, the Morrison Government's clinical persecution of our most vulnerable citizens, driving them to despair & sometimes death, is shocking all over again.

When will someone finally be held accountable for this cataclysmic failure?

As @christopherrudge.bsky.social continued to probe this report to DEWR, he found the AI had also hallucinated a judgement and fake quotes and references from Deanna Amato's Robodebt test case with Vic LegalAid!

Everyone thinks they're the good guys! There are several people named by the Royal Commission as having done awful things who are still swanning around Canberra university boardrooms telling everyone how they were one of the good ones.

Miller talks about feeding stories to the tabloids. “Oh we’re the good guys”, she reassures Tudge.

Ohmigods. You are spinner in chief for an unlawful government program and you think you’re the good guys

Here is an excellent article in @crikey.com.au by @beneltham.bsky.social on the ongoing mutual obligations crisis, and the tribunal decision which is the basis of this analysis:

Patreon @asherwolf.bsky.social = not a guaranteed income. Asher was not the only one involved in #NotMyDebt. Blows my mind that there wasn't an outcome of the Royal Commission of those involved getting paid *something* for what they had done, which AFAIK was voluntary. #PeopleVSRobodebt
KNAUS: Asher, your work in late 2016 to amplify those voices with @not_my_debt, I remember thinking how selfless it was to do that unpaid.

ASHER: I was getting paid, I had a Patreon as a backstop. What sustained me was the people I have met, including panelists.
