I would pay for someone to hack PebbleOS onto my Google Glass.

If you could make some affordable PebbleOS glasses, I'd buy them. That'd be really cool.

This is a big milestone for the PebbleOS software development. Gonna fully charge it today and see where we get to. (It's been a solid 3-4 days between charges so far so this should be a big jump!) #pebble #rebble

I'm still waiting for my preorder Pebble Time 2 watch, but meanwhile I'm jealous that the only SDK support they'll ship is for Python and JS. Let's change that! mruby would be a perfect way to add Ruby to the PebbleOS SDK. Help me make it happen!
Ruby SDK using mruby · Issue #281 · pebble-dev/pebble-firmware
Is there an existing issue for this? I have searched the existing issues Proposed feature request mruby provides a tiny, compilable, embeddable implementation of Ruby that would be perfect as part ...

a HUGE project from Heiko - Gossan is a Rust clean-room reimplementation of the Pebble runtime. TLDR: it can run app/face PBWs as if they were running on PebbleOS. He's ported it to Playdate already (bc it has same display tech)

"As you may have heard, last week Google published the source code for PebbleOS. This is a big deal! ... Now we’re hard at work on hardware and software development.

... Please don’t get your hopes up that the new watch will have X/Y/Z new feature. It’s going to be a Pebble and almost exactly […]

The Pebble smart watch was brilliant and I'm so happy it might be making a comeback! Also, it's pleasantly surprising to see that Google open-sourced the PebbleOS code.

Preordered the Pebble Core Time 2! I loved my Pebble back in the day and no other smartwatch ever replicated it. When Google purchased Pebble only to quash it, there was a serious void left behind so I am very happy the original creator is making devices again now that PebbleOS is open source.

PebbleOS-Powered Core 2 Duo, Core Time 2 Smartwatches Unveiled
Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2 smartwatches that run on open-sourced PebbleOS have been unveiled. They are currently available for pre-order in the US and will start shipping later this year. The Core 2 Duo has a black-and-white display, while the Core Time 2 sports a 64-colour display. They are based on the Pebble 2 and Pebble Time 2, respectively, but offer modern features. Notably, Pebble was sold to Fitbit in 2016. These two watches from Migicovsky's new company, Core Devices are said to "closely follow the original Pebble DNA."

Pebble is kinda back! Not officially, but Pebble’s founder just launched Core Devices, bringing us Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2 - smartwatches with 30-day battery life, e-paper screens, and that classic PebbleOS feel. Just pure, simple, distraction-free smartwatches.

Finally have my first Core 2 Duo sealed up, running open source PebbleOS. Now with a functioning RTC driver so it actually tells time!
