I would love to know if anyone's worked on their Interactive Splotch Art Zine. Here are a few of my interpretations

A yellow-orange peach-beige color paint splotch printed on paper that is drawn on top of with ballpoint pen and colored pencil. The character is given a tricorn hat, a happy excited face, pink cheeks, and a blue shirt with a white collar. Dated 11/8/25. A red orange paint splotch printed on to a paper that is transformed by being drawn on with other red colored pencil. The spot was turned into a cutesie looking little vampire. Slicked back hair with a widows peak, raised eyebrows, wide small eyes, pointed ears, pointed teeth, and dressed in a cape/cloak. Dated 11/8/25. A yellow green paint splotch that was printed on paper that is drawn on top of with a darker green colored pencil to make a perching bird. The bird has a darker green wing, some spots on the chest, and a strong eyebrow. Dated 11/8/25.

Yeah, I’ll do my own interactive zine. This is a test print on thin paper so not the final product!

I made a bee and bird abomination this time. I can’t unsee my other friend’s cute dog interpretation tho #pandaKongSplotchZine
A drawing on top of a printed page of a hybrid of bird and a bee, the head is a bird with an insect’s eye, the chest is angular, the wings are wide and unrealistic; the bottom half of the body is striped yellow and black-brown like a bee with a stinger. A brown-orange paint splotch that also has some yellow. There are a few angular edges and some that are irregular, like colors bleeding from wet paint. Creating splotch art can be a useful exercise for warming up or to get imagination flowing, It's a way to think uniquely about shapes, and character and prop design.
