Basically a progenitor of a lot of modern fantasy and especially dark fantasy, according to what I've heard. Definitely some dated word choices, though I guess idk how much of that is author's voice vs character's voice. Probably a bit of both.

In their previous paper, they suggest that it might be a mass difference that creates the progenitor age bias, but they can't rule out composition.
