I'm #PhDone! I had a wonderful day discussing my work on goblet cell responses during parasite infection 🤧🪱 After a really pleasant and exciting viva, I got to spend the evening celebrating with friends from all different areas of my life. Onto full-time sci-comm!

I’ve been looking at this Tierilä’s work Pelastuneet (the saved) in the Researcher’s Room of the Library of Finnish Parliament for an year now and it is an accurate depiction of what the final stages of PhD looks like. Also proof the library staff has wicked sense of humour 😂 #PhDSky #AcademicSky

I've done a few interviews for my PhD research this week and every one has been amazing - the insight and deep knowledge that history teachers bring to their work and the seriousness with which they take their role as educators is so uplifting to see. I am so lucky to be doing this! #PhDchat #PhDSky

Dear academic, journals, books, and other publications: Please standardize using footnotes with the entire citation instead of endnotes in a Notes section in the back with partial citations and a bibliography with full citation
Sincerely,
A busy PhD student

Academia loves asking for proof.

Proof of abuse. Proof of discrimination. Proof your pain is valid.

But when it’s time to hold institutions accountable? Suddenly, testimony isn’t enough.
