ACA does not stop the
“Middlemen” called Pharmacy Benefit Managers from being wildly profitable (CVS Caremark, OptumRx..)
They negotiate prices, but for them, not for you.
You still pay the inflated base price.
PBMs make over $400 billion a year combined & operate with almost zero transparency.

Why are you worried about the predatory practices of doctors when we’ve been cleaned to the bone by the apex predators in our ecosystem: insurance companies and their PBMs, etc? Eliminating insurance for everyday care is the only way it works. Single payer or self pay.

Actually, yes. It's a BIG pie
Think about all the special interests which need to be accommodated. Doctors, Big Pharma, insurance, nurses, hospitals, PBMs, RFK Jr...
...and the list goes on
They may have to wait for the ballroom before there's a venue big enough to hold all the interested parties

While we are disassembling the health insurance industry, I remind everyone that a special section of hell is reserved for those who promote the concept of pharmacy benefit managers. Their primary purpose is to direct the flow of money to the rich and powerful. PBMs need to die, full stop.

The GOP can pay that money directly to hospitals and doctors anytime they want: They can defund the US healthcare protection racket, anytime. If they cared, they would change the law to direct buy medicines and defund PBMs (re-sellers), too. Both exist only to take money from the government.

get rid of PBMs, insurance companies and other money sucking companies that don’t provide actual direct care services and our healthcare would be better. Remember that insurance companies don’t provide anything except payment for care you receive from actual healthcare workers.

Not related to ACA but I agree. We as a nation should provide Healthcare through our hard earned taxes and take the Billionaire Insurance industry out of the picture. Insurance and PBMs are the real evil here ripping off government and insurers
