#Outsource
Never outsource your thinking...to the loudest voice in the room.

I worry about lawyers who outsource their judgement. Whether it's to psychics, or AI.

Same ethical problem.

Me: Why did we outsource campus decisions to a corporate consultant?

HR: We haven’t outsourced anything. We’ve merely engaged a strategic partner to collaborate within our priorities and provide insights for our long-term goal of eliminating inefficiencies and streamlining our effective operations.

I guess if you're the kind of buffoon who earnestly believes you can outsource thought and creativity to a predictive text algorithm powered by global warming, it makes sense that you'd try to outsource your conscience next

This is so messed up. You cannot outsource this work to computers or AI. Sound craniometry requires actual measurement by experts using calipers. A computer cannot do this work accurately.

What am I supposed to use it for? To summarize my emails? Too long, wrong. To write things? Too long, wrong. To plan trips? Planning is FUN and why would I outsource that? I played with it a bit six months ago, it was meh.

Also, I hate its enshittification of search results with my whole soul.

Writing is thinking, so why would you outsource that to a robot controlled by the worst people in the world
i feel like using an llm to write your personal blog posts is extremely embarrassing. why are you even doing this? no one is making you blog, you are choosing to do it. if you don't care enough to write your own posts then just don't post at all.

Let’s outsource intelligence to our BFF Russia, give Palantir the nuclear codes because prediction > discretion, and let Elon manage the money. Streamlined, centralized, and definitely nothing could go wrong. 🤡

Why did DEWR outsource "independent" assurance, giving Deloitte access to its own AI tools to spit out slop?

Because all it ever wanted from Deloitte was justification to keep MOs punishments going

I have FOIed a bunch of Ministerial briefings & the theme is the same: We must keep the system on

When "thought" is literally part of your job title but you outsource the thinking 🫠

I need to outsource scratching my ass, its been fifty minutes bitch stop itching I got stuff to do!!!

Never would. No company would admit to it. Just like they skimp on internal QA and then outsource like crazy to companies they hide in the credits, they'd just do the same here.
Would we hear about that from the outside? cus we’re like years into Sega’s “we proudly use AI in QA/firing their unionized QA team” combo and I haven’t seen anything frantically explode at the finish line from them lately.

Processing those ores is really dirty, he wants to outsource the environmental impact.

At some points they will outsource the crime to robots and the robots will get free humans.

Why outsource this to Dem electeds?

It is very easy for people to just make a sign, go outside an office in a public place, and explain to their neighbors that their paid rep has been on vacation for two months.

I just want to scream about how I sacrificed and scraped and paid my dues and fought tooth and nail for the writing career I have today.

In what universe would I ever take that for granted and just outsource it to technology that is literally killing the planet and rewiring brains in a BAD WAY?!
If you’re a writer using LLMs to do your work, I have less than zero respect for you. It is a goddamn privilege to do what we do.

There are a bajillion other ways to overcome creative blocks, not the least of which is being a friggen professional and writing through it.

Exactly this.

What OpenAI is asking to do is outsource its risk to the US public while keeping its potential profit privatized.

Yeah it’s better to be let down regardless by people who genuinely don’t give a shit if you skip meals to save money as long as they can outsource what services you have to American private interests for an opportunistic bump in the sacred line graph

Generative AI tools like this are fundamentally anti-labor: Take humans out of the equation, outsource the artistry of making crosswords to a machine that makes shitty puzzles. I just wish Amuse Labs, after years helping puzzle writers make real art, didn't also participate in that enshittification.
Amuse Labs had created perhaps the best digital crossword-solving software I've ever seen, with the ability to program all kinds of puzzles that were never possible before.

That's why this news about them creating a generative AI puzzle maker is so unbelievably sad and infuriating.

The fact that US law currently permits this is all we need to know about how all nationalisms bend towards fascism.

Focus on "foreigners" allows nation-states to outsource responsibility for their many failures. "Foreign states," "foreign gulags," "foreign people," etc.
40 men Trump sent to CECOT tell the NYT they were beaten, tortured, and sexually assaulted. The details are worse than you can imagine.

We can’t let them get away with this. Miller and the other architects of this sadism need to go to prison.

The LNP( Liberal National Party coalition ) aim to keep wages low, force workers into the gig economy, cut funding to public health and education and outsource every possible service to private enterprise .
