A pond at the east end of Otokomi Lake, in Glacier National Park, reflects incoming clouds on a blue summer sky. The lake is visible toward the top of the image. Fallen logs and branches block the outflow and have helped to create a border between the lake and the small pond. There are green, lush low bushes around the pond, as well as tall pine trees in the distance. The water is very clear, and red rocks at the bottom are quite visible.

Otokomi Lake, in Glacier National Park. Despite the apparent calmness of its waters, a storm is moving in from the east. The water is very transparent and reflects the sky, clouds, mountains and trees. Near the camera there is a natural dike made of tree trunks.

Today's #hike was to #otokomilake , about 10 miles roundtrip. It was challenging as it was hot and there are a few miles through a burn area with very little shade. Also, lotsa uphill! But it was a beautiful day, the lake was refreshing and lotsa fish which I think I coulda grabbed bare-handed! 1/2
