Omg, why i didn't get the idea until now? Having routers running #openwrt linux, I can easilly measure them using #prometheus and node exporter. 💡📈

InternetOfCrap is a 2.4ghz ssid on a $20 router running OpenWRT bridged with a VLAN. My firewall just does DHCP, it doesn't need internal or internet access because my HomeAssistant VM is multi-homed on that same vlan.

@briankrebs It's the being able to be cheaper than anyone else that's suspect I think - paired with "interesting" security practices.

I wish I could buy an off-the-shelf WiFi router with:

* 6 / 5 / 2.4 ghz band support (aka WiFi 7)
* OpenWRT
* Pihole built-in for DNS
* VPN
* Decent coverage (2500 square feet)

Why hasn't someone done this yet? It would sell like hotcakes!

PLEASE, TAKE MY MONEY.
