maybe facebook was right, opengraph is a social protocol. the future of open social wont be activitypub nor atproto it will be opengraph
we have a name for this technology, its called opengraph images, and leaflet embeds do this well! quotes for leaflet directly changes the opengraph image preview to display the selected quoted text which is really cool

i like what leaflet.pub does with it: you can just select specific text and copy the link and it returns an image of said specified text.

This is also points to why I think Open Frames-style rendering of extended OpenGraph would also be amazing.
Could still do an image like this, but then also alt text of the quote, and that's just the tip of creative uses of this that anyone could add to their website.
