One of the far too many Ukrainian fallen heroes who were victims of #RussianWarCrimes, #OleksandrMatsievskyi was defiant to the very end. Rest in peace, brave warrior - your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
Exactly two years ago, Oleksandr Matsievskyi was killed by Russian forces. He was taken captive near Bakhmut, unarmed but was shot dead after he spoke the words Slava Ukraini (Glory to Ukraine). Matsievskyi has become a symbol of resistance for the Ukrainian people.
