Much like HMS Birmimgham did while supporting the liberation of Bergen, Norway, in 1945

What an experience this must have been for these children after 5 years of occupation

#NavalHistory I am speaking to the local history society in March. The entry on the website has my first name wrong, the initials of the subject wrong, and has chosen to illustrate a naval event of 1898 with this warship silhouette. Can someone date it for me - WW1, WW2, other?
Thanks!

Captain Crawford Maclachlan's decision to evacuate the ship as soon as it was clear that the flooding could not be contained was controversial but almost certainly saved many lives. The only fatality from 777 crew was one man who drowned during the evacuation. [2/2] #RoyalNavy #WW1 #NavalHistory
