in the article they actually interview the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe’s chief archaeologist and ethnohistorian and he calls it a loss to the public overall, it sounds like the museum had close relations with local indigenous groups

It's Indigenous People's Sunday. We started service outside on the banks of Temescal Creek with a reading of the Ohlone creation story by Rev Jerry Drino (Episcopal priest and Indigenous advocate) and symbolic creek offerings. The Presbyterians are at it again.
