Like this was THE reason I lost all interest in Nightreign. Literally forgot the game existed until the State of Play reminded me. Multiplayer games that make it difficult to play with friends are games that aren't worth my time. I have better things to do and other games to play.

definitely — most competitive multiplayer games for example have very light (and often kinda dumb) narrative framing but we love em don’t we

Honestly the best thing I remember about Pikmin 3 was seeing people on Miiverse posting about how the game designers modeled an anus on the Bearded Amprats for some reason
Oh and Bingo Battle is the best multiplayer in the series, just a shame there's no online or 4 player version of it

well i sure am glad i am taking pokemon ZA at my own pace! it sure is a good thing theres no time limited items hidden behind the multiplayer! a multiplayer i wanted to try out while in the start of the game and am faced with A FUCKING XERNEAS

I get that they made this boss one of the faces of the DLC so it would never have been in Nightreign from the start, but it should've been. terrific multiplayer boss, terrific field boss too.

Somebody should let me handle what games are greenlit, I'd be great at it. $300 million multiplayer game? Canceled. Repurposed for 14 Ape Escape sequels.

my points about being exhausted by the constant big IP crossover slop in every online multiplayer game still stand though. they're just giving me the characters i actually wanted for free now to balance it out, so i'm no longer as annoyed at this particular example of it

nightreign is such a weird title to me still. elden ring was such a somber game that it feels almost a little cheap that the followup is an always online multiplayer only boss rush sort of thing
