Here's the problem with that. With so many people abusing bluesky's moderation holes. Who would actually complain? When large groups of people can run harassment campaigns on others. Those people of course won't want proper moderation. So there is no proper moderation.

It used to amaze me the way medical advice could suddenly change, eg don't eat eggs they give you high cholesterol, then eggs are fine, or butter is bad, margarine good, then became margarine isn't good. I like the advice of a good dr I had once who said to just have everything in moderation.

BlueSky recently announced changes in their approach to moderation that vaguely implied AI would be involved, but I don't know if that's what all this is. Hopefully it's just a rollback away from being right.

We usually do that in response to media requests once they hit that threshold. I’ll try not to weigh in here, since that’s still details of an individual case. An interesting topic for a separate write up though, without discussing case specifics.
