The nose on Ardna's Heritage Barley is quite the departure from the Dailuaine. Citrus & vanilla are in there but are accompanied by prominent savoury notes of yeast (bovril?) & porcini mushrooms. These carry across to the palette along with manuka honey & meaty, umami flavours. I like it, I think...

Been trying to figure out if I'm really ill or if this is just reacting to the building chemicals for the last couple days. I think it's normie illness, because one of the plumbers went home very ill Tuesday after being here on Monday. 😢 I hope rest and manuka honey in tea help it go away quickly.

Had a lovely crowd at the Glee in Birmingham tonight - thanks to everyone there. I’m struggling with some post-viral laryngitis so the show was a lot croakier than usual but it was still a lot of fun. Back in my hotel room with my steamer and Manuka honey trying to get my voice better for tomorrow!

*** Rainbow update ***** Our precious Rainbow Baby has been through more than any little one should ever have to face. 💔 She was diagnosed with meningitis, and despite fighting so many battles with incredible courage, her poor paws became severely swollen and, heartbreakingly, started to go necrotic. Rainbow has been on a cocktail of different medications, and our wonderful vets have been visiting regularly, doing everything possible to help her heal. Two weeks ago, Rainbow was finally able to come home, but her back legs were still so swollen and sore. Her foster mummy has been nothing short of amazing — caring for her around the clock with so much love and dedication. Every single day, she bathed Rainbow’s feet in Hibiscrub, gently dried them with a hairdryer, gave her laser therapy, and applied soothing Manuka honey to help ease the pain and promote healing. Sometimes, this routine was repeated up to six times a day. Through it all, Rainbow has shown the most incredible strength and spirit. 🌈 Even when she’s hurting, she never gives up. Her will to fight is truly inspiring. The photos are difficult to look at — they show just how much she’s been through — but they also show her courage, her resilience, and the love that surrounds her. ❤️ Please keep our sweet Rainbow Baby in your thoughts as she continues her long road to recovery. Every little bit of love, prayer, and support helps her keep fighting. 💕 Pip xxx
